Meeting with a deaf-blind actor

A glimpse into the behind-the-scenes life of Yuri Oshorov, an actor in the play “Not on Bread Alone,” and Mordi Weis, an actor in the play “It Could Be a Man Standing in Snow.”

Mediated by a contact sign language interpreter, the audience was exposed to a fascinating conversation about the meanings of life on stage without the ability to see and hear, about life alongside Usher Syndrome (deafness and blindness), about the choice to overcome every limitation, remove every communication barrier, and the social power of art.

A meeting that sharpens the appreciation for what is often taken for granted, that holds within it a life story, and a professional story about training and creating a play with the participation of deaf-blind actors.

At the end of the meeting, an open discussion and dialogue can be held with the participants.
