Nurit Shalom

Actor

Nurit Shalom is deaf from birth. She grew up in a hearing household and currently lives in Holon with her three children. From a young age, Nurit knew she wanted to be an actress. She remembers how excited she was about the drama club in elementary school and how it sparked her desire to be on stage.
In 2017, Nurit starred in the comedy “Viki and Me,” becoming the first deaf actress in Israel to play a leading role in a television series.

uring the day, Nurit works as a guide at the Holon Children’s Museum and acts in the Ebisu Sign Language Theater. At Na Laga’at, she co-directed (with Nadav Nir) the comedic play “Silent Talk,” in which she also performs.
