Bat Sheva Malka Bar Nathan is a deafblind actress (with Usher Syndrome), a mother of three hearing children, and a grandmother.
Born deaf, Bat Sheva gradually began to lose her vision over the years. This loss was particularly challenging for her as she had been a very independent and free-spirited woman. She communicates using tactile sign language.
Bat Sheva always dreamed of being an actress. The stage helps her feel happy and forget her troubles. She is currently performing in two plays at the Na Laga’at Theater: “Not by Bread Alone” and “Say Orange.”
Bat Sheva dreams of participating in more plays. She also sees herself in the future as a mentor to deafblind actors. She believes that one must always keep believing and never give up hope.
