A monodrama based on the true story of Yakov Kozalchik, a holocaust survivor who served as a Kapo of Block 11 at Auschwitz concentration camp.
The play describes first hand how Yakov had delt with the impossible situations forced upon him; showing meaningful periods in his life, starting with the Polish town of Krynica-Zdrój, through his outstanding survival in the second world war, and finally, the treatment he’d received after immigrating to Israel.
An emotional heart-breaking play, that deals with prejudice, people’s tendency to categorize and judge, the power of survival instinct and the strong will to live.
