Hazi is an actor in Na Laga’at’s special performance “When the Apple Falls”. Hazi is 58 years old and works as a software developer during the day. He is visually impaired, with minimal residual vision.
Already in his early adolescence, Hazi decided not to give up on himself and to pursue and do whatever interested him. He was a member of the “Boy Scouts” youth movement in a group and a “tribe” that accepted and embraced him very much. Throughout his school years, he was educated in regular institutions. He lived in the Golan Heights for about 15 years in a kibbutz and was integrated as a full partner in all areas of life.
Hazi has been involved in many activities throughout his life, but he enjoys creativity the most. He has written several short stories, some of which have been published. In addition, he wrote a one-man play titled “The Warden of Block 11,” based on the fascinating book of the same name by Amir Hashkel.
“Na Laga’at” has made his dream come true.
Hazi believes that in life, as in the “Na Laga’at” theater, there needs to be teamwork and a combination of forces that will yield a more equal and stronger society.
