Na Laga’at Center is proud to introduce an innovative initiative that expands the boundaries of accessibility — extending its proven expertise from the cultural sphere into the world of sports.
The Accessible Football Match Initiative enables individuals who are blind or visually impaired to fully engage in a live stadium experience of professional football—independently, equitably, and with dignity.
Grounded in a comprehensive vision of social inclusion, cultural participation, and adult education, the initiative seeks to transform access to sports from a charitable accommodation into a structural and sustainable right. The project’s guiding principle is clear: participation in public life — including sports — must be natural, equal, and fully integrated.
To achieve this, the initiative is developing and implementing a professional, scalable, and replicable model for accessibility in live football matches, including:
-
Development of a structured live audio description model, specifically tailored to blind and visually impaired audiences in a dynamic sports environment.
-
Professional training of adults — with and without visual impairment — for roles in audio description, accessibility facilitation, and inclusion in sports events.
-
Reduction of social exclusion through meaningful participation in mainstream sport events.
-
Establishment of cross-sector partnerships among educational institutions, sports organizations, and community stakeholders at both national and international levels.
-
The creation of a sustainable infrastructure designed for long-term implementation and expansion to additional sports disciplines.
Through this initiative, Na Laga’at Center aims not only to enhance access to football matches, but to set a new standard for inclusive sport experiences worldwide.
