A monodrama based on the true story of Yakov Gozalchik, a holocaust survivor who served as a kapo of block 11 at Auschwitz concentration camp.
The play describes first hand how Yacob had delt with the impossible situations forced upon him; showing meaningful periods in his life, starting with the Polish town of Krynki, through his outstanding survival in the second world war, and finally, the treatment he’d received after immigrating to Israel.
An emotional heart-breaking play, that deals with prejudice, people’s tendency to categorize and judge, the power of survival instinct and the strong will to live.
