A monodrama based on the true story of Yakov Gozalchik, a Holocaust survivor who was a kapo at block 11 of the Auschwitz concentration camp.

The play depicts firsthand how Yacov dealt with the impossible situation forced upon him, following the story of his life from the Polish town of Krynki, through the remarkable story of his survival in WWII, to the attitudes he encountered as a newcomer in the young state of Israel.

A highly emotional, heartrending play, addressing issues of prejudice and the human tendency to categorize and judge, while portraying the incredible powers of the survival instinct and the will to live.
