Ofer is a graduate of the Nissan Nativ acting studio in Tel Aviv, class of 2001. As an actor, he participated in plays at Habima Theater, the Hebrew Theater, Mediatheque and the Itim Ensemble in cooperation with the Cameri Theater.
Ofer wrote and directed “The Tale of a Lonely Man” for the 2006 Acre Festival, for which he won the Best Director award at the festival. His other works as a director include “False Witness,” “Teeth Interrogation” by Ido Setter (for a short theater festival at Tel Aviv’s Tzavta theater), “Treats” by Christopher Hampton at Hasimta Theater and “Edgar” at the Na Laga’at Theater.
In addition, Ofer has created a number of dance theater works together with Renana Raz, including: “Ask for Stars,” “Ghosts,” “MOTEL,” “Underland,” “Martinique” and “YouMake Remake.”
